Blogging Hiatus
I’ve been out of the loop for quite some time. My sister came home from Canada and our Holidays even became more special with her around. If I will be blogging what I missed to post here, it will take so much posts and I will be blogging little by little because I am sick right now, caught the bug that made my son stay in the hospital for quite some time. That will be in another post. Anyway, I am waving hi and welcoming the year 2012 here! Happy New Year!!!

Getting in Touch
We are looking for the best conference calling service because my aunt in Illinois wants us to talk often. I have cousins in Manila and since the internet is such a common thing even here in our country, finding something that will keep us in touch of her will be very easy. You see, she doesn’t have immediate family in the States aside from her own family of 3 kids and my uncle, all of us are here so she keeps in touch to us so very often. It is sometimes hard to communicate using some software because we usually experience disconnection or lagging of communication. I sure hope my cousin finds a really nice service.

Delayed Parcel
I recently paid a membership in a certain 5-star hotel and I am disappointed because I haven’t received my membership card yet. I might book soon when family visits home soon and they might ask for my card again and I haven’t received anything from them yet. I am thinking of getting one of those home address signs that I saw in three of our neighbors, that might help. Finding our house is a bit hard but I don’t think that should be a reason since they have my mobile number. Just today, I received an email from them asking if I already received my card, and I replied right away. I hope they take actions now that they know that I still don’t have my card.

Job Search Online
My cousin is in search of Respiratory Therapy Technician Jobs but his search is actually not for him but for his 3 friends who are still jobless. With the economy situation in the United States, you would never believe that some people are actually jobless and online search for work is so much helpful since the competition is really tough. Some of my friends got their jobs online and most of them are still working on those jobs and I kinda like the idea of all the search online, I do that when I shop, though I think that is far less important than job hunting.

Another Conversation with My Friend
Just this early morning, a friend of mine from the US asked me about the rv repairs I posted here. I really forgot the link since it was a great find for my Aunt way back then and I didn’t know he remembered about that post. Apparently, his rv broke down a few days ago and he don’t know any great shop to have it checked. I am sure he will find a nice store that can help him. I was trying my best to find my old post but I’ve been blogging since 2005 I think and I don’t want to go through posts from that year til today just to look for a link. I am running a little late and I am sure, he understands. Ewww what a great friend huh? Sorry buddy!

It’s a Guy Thing
My husband and his friends were talking about cars the other week and just last night, I overheard them talking about a gunvault and apparently this friend of his is looking for one because he has a collection of guns which by the way, I can’t seem to comprehend, why collect something that you don’t use even just once. My husband told me after their phone conversation that some guns are antique already and that they are too fragile to use but the thing is not one single gun from his collection was used by the collector. He just displays them and some are hidden in suitcases. He rarely even goes to the shooting range to practice. He just love the collecting part. Oh well, I guess it’s a guy thing that I will never understand.

Still Freezing
My brother in law went back to Georgia yesterday. It was a short and sweet goodbye and hopefully we can come on over next year in the US to visit him and our other relatives there. He mentioned yesterday that it is still freezing in some parts of the states and that winter is not officially over, his friends from New York are still looking for some electric fireplaces to purchase for their apartments, 2 of them had problems with their heating systems. My aunt told me that it was also still freezing in Illinois and I sure hope the winter ends in their parts of the world, too much cold is not fun and Spring is much better!
