Baby Beddings for a Friend
I always love to shop for my son especially when he was still a toddler and less clothes are still in his cabinet but now that his cabinet is full of clothes, I have less enthusiasm to shop for him, he has so much plus boys are low maintenance, a shirt and shorts and jeans will do plus my son love plain shirts these days so rarely do I buy something new for him, unless I find that clothing really worth it. Anyway, my best friend is giving birth to a baby boy and I always find it more exciting to shop for babies maybe because you are starting from scratch but since the baby’s clothing are almost covered we went window shopping for baby bedding for boys instead and wow I never knew that there are so much items to choose from, even I myself got so overwhelmed.
I think she will be getting 2 sets and I thought it was a great idea too!

The Heat is On
Summer really started this April in my neck of the woods! It is always scorching hot and applying sunblock is not enough. I went and bought two umbrellas yesterday, one for me and the other for my husband. I told him, he better use that every time he walks under the sun, but I doubt if he will ever use that. We’ll see! He put it in the trunk of his car so I guess it will stay there unless it rains. Yikes! Anyway, this month is the perfect time to go somewhere there is water and sand but since we didn’t make any plans to go out to the beach, I guess a staycation here will do…
It’s better than nothing. We love staying here especially during summer. It’s a great escape and it’s right in the heart of Pasay City.

Activities This Summer
This summer, my husband and I become more lenient to our child and let’s him watch 1 movie a night and with all my discount dvds that I collected through these years, we have no problem of choosing what to play every night. He also have longer time for playing and he bikes every morning from Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Sunday, if there is time. We also want to set up the pool every Saturday morning but the problem is that it’s been raining a lot lately and we’ve only set up the pool twice this vacation time. Boo! It’s just almost April and DS still has 2 months of vacation before he starts Junior Kinder and I hope he enjoys it a lot before he starts school again.

Furniture Window Shopping
We’ve purchased so many heavy duty drawer slides for our drawer since last year that I think it is best to just replace our old cabinet with a new small dresser. Since we are getting more stuff and needed more space, I think a good sturdy dresser that will not take so much space is a better purchase that a small cabinet. I’ve been looking for inspirations from Pottery Barn and I got my eyes on this one…
Love the shabby chic of this white dresser.

Party 1 for Birthday Boy
I was so busy during the start of this month getting present ideas for my son who will be celebrating 2 birthday parties and of course, we have to give him gifts on both parties. All in all the parties were successful and I took so many pictures to album. First party was at his school and he celebrated in advance since their classes ended March 14 and all levels had a year end party so we opted to celebrate his birthday on that day which was on March 16, Friday. Here are the photos:
He opened our gifts in bed, we gave them just right after he woke up.
Hired clowns to do some balloon twisting and magic.
He especially requested a Chicken Little cake.
His classmates had so much fun as well, I just can’t post more photos from the class party because of privacy issues for his classmates.

Toddler Skin Care
Summer is here and since my son is so fair, I find ways in taking care of his skin as early as today, he will definitely get a tan naturally of course, not with spray tan machine when we hit the pool in April. His pedia reminded me that I should be more conscious of taking care of his skin because fair skinned people are more prone to skin allergies, sunburn and other skin problems. So far he has great skin with only minimal caring, I still read ways to take care of his skin because I don’t want him to get my skin because I have tons of skin problems. Anyway, here are a few tips for toddler skin care that might be helpful to you too:
1. Toddlers start learning how to walk from this age so the skin can become dirty or get bruises easily. The hygiene of toddler skin should be maintained by keeping it clean.
2. Massage the skin with baby/toddler oil before giving a bath. The skin needs to be moisturized as soaps and bubble baths make the skin dry and can also lead to skin rashes.
3. Before giving a bath to the toddler, prepare the items like towel, soap and other bathing products before hand. Never leave the toddler alone while giving bath. Always supervise them and make the bathing a fun experience as few toddlers hate to take bath and cry.
4. Use toddler soap which has natural oils. These soaps doesn’t dry the toddler skin and maintains skin care too. Be careful while applying soap to prevent contact with the eyes and mouth.
5. Apply little baby/toddler oil after giving bath to the toddler. You can also use homemade moisturizer made with olive oil or almond oil. Dilute the oil with little water and massage the toddler skin to maintain and care for the sensitive skin.
6. Apply powder after drying the skin with a towel. Wash the towel every week to maintain hygiene and keep it clean.
7. Apply ample amount of powder near the diaper lines to prevent getting rashes due to diapers.
8. If the toddler get bruises, wash the bruise with a clean cotton cloth. Dip it in warm water and then apply ointment. Cover with a band aid to stop the toddler from touching it.
9. Prefer cotton clothes for toddlers as they are skin friendly and absorbs sweat also. Wash them in warm or hot water to maintain hygiene.
10. When out in the sun, dress the toddler with loose-fitting cotton clothes and keep them away from overexposure to the sun. few minutes of sun can supply vitamin D but excessive exposure can tan the skin tone.

Thinking: Where to start the research about myoripped side effects that my supervisor asked to look into.
