Crazy Start of the Year
Crazy start of the year. Most are “non-bloggable” (if there is such a word) and can only be shared privately. I will not bother to enumerate everything but my family went through some tough times the 4th month of the year and we are still in the process of this challenge and I am just grateful that God is giving us the strength we need to face this through. It actually entitles to more spending and the husband and I are working our butts to get by, we sometimes seriously consider applying for Cash Advances but that will be our last resort. We know that applying for that will be very quick and easy and the dread of too much paper work won’t be there, we will have that as our plan C, maybe even plan D. So far, our earnings get by and from my recent calculations we will still get by even if our son will be starting school this June. We enrolled him early this month so we won’t have to think of his tuition fee for June. We got the monthly basis for him because we can’t afford the quarterly much more the cash basis. The school supplies required by his school is almost done, I just need to get just a few more stuff and he is all set. June is actually filled with schedules of meetings and conferences about something really important.
If there is such a person who fears the future, that would be me! I never saw these things happening and yet, God has a plan of letting us know that He is more powerful than your plans. I only pray that we get the best of health every single day to get by, health is wealth and we can never get through all these challenges if one of us is not healthy. God bless our family. I pray this will all my might.

Busy Hubby, Holy Week and Other Updates
Today is Holy Wednesday and that means, this week will be a week that is dedicated to the sufferings and death of Christ. that is for us Catholics, for government employees like myself, that means a half day at work and a long weekend starting tomorrow until Sunday, the Easter but to my husband, he has a whole day at work today and he is still busy with the usb barcode scanner which he needs to work on because they will be using it on Monday and it’s holiday tomorrow and on Friday so he is rushing it as I am typing this post, I am here at his office, using his computer while he is tinkering the scanner. Anyway, I am doing a few posts before the day ends since I will be away from the computer tomorrow until Saturday. I will be exercising a few Catholic responsibilities since I have been away from the practices ever since I became a mom, not that I am feeling guilty about it but I feel that I have the need to be this year. I hope my hubby will come with me and I might tag along our son to some of the activities.

What’s Up with You?
Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair. ~Susan Polis Shutz
I haven’t been blogging lately, well for 1.) I don’t have the drive to do it, must be the nearing long holiday this week. For us, Catholics, this is the season where we observe the sufferings and death of Christ. We will be off from work starting Wednesday afternoon until Sunday, the day we celebrate Easter. 2.) Things are going on in our family that I should be giving more time instead of being online even at home. 3.) Work – real life work in the hospital is getting busier too, not too much earning from dispensing glasses but I am thankful still that I practice my profession more frequently now that there are more patients who are aware of my existence as an Optometrist at work. Anyway, I will be going offline starting tomorrow and I just want to say to everybody to have a meaningful observance of the Holy Week and Happy Easter as well.

Random Updates
I haven’t been here for a while after my son’s birthday last 24th. I’ve been busy after that day but my job is a bit laid back this week that I’ve decided to just update this blog. Anyway…
- During my son’s birthday, my husband and I took a day off from work to spend the whole morning with him. We went to the grocery around 10am to buy a few stuff for his birthday party on that coming weekend and we had early lunch and heard mass at 12:15pm.
- We had to take him home after the mass because we wanted him to take his afternoon nap since he was coughing and we didn’t want him to have fever because he will have his party. He was left with the nanny.
- I on the other hand had my facial at the skin clinic in a mall in Ortigas, hubby drove me and then we bought cake and palabok for our simple dinner at home.
- The dinner was simple, we just lit the candle and sang Happy Birthday to DS.
- Friday, we had to go to work, picked up the cake at Kitchen Krafts for the party the next day.
- Party on Saturday, the 26th was very successful though a lot of our friends and their kids didn’t came, the guests who came made it even more special to our family. (And I think I will have a separate post for that. Will do that after I receive the hard copy of the photos from our photographer)

More Updates
It’s a Saturday, I know, I told myself that I will not go online on weekends but since my boys are out car spare parts hunting without me tagging along, I got the whole morning for myself. Done with the chores in the kitchen, washed the dishes and washed the fruits that my Mom bought in the market and swept the floor. I also cleaned the bedroom so I decided to do some online duties before going down to do some more in the kitchen.
Enough of the intro, I’m here for updates about me and my husband.
- Our communication has greatly improved. Maybe, me being vocal about how I felt really made an impact to him. I was kinda surprised on how he handled our last argument with calmness and openness. He did the talking, much to my surprise but I was also surprised of how quiet I was. LOL.
- He is decided to take up masteral this year, probably something to do for administration jobs and it will not be in line with his work as an IT employee. I don’t know why he decided that but I will support him 100%.
- We had our CBC and Urinalysis checked, we haven’t received the results yet and we are both ready to make a 180 degrees turn to healthy eating if we need to, I just need to plan our diet and be consistent with it but of course we are still hoping for normal results.
- I am getting dizzier and dizzier everyday, my Mom checked my eyes and my prescription increased, the result of working in the computer all the time, but I will have my much needed consultation for this, just to be sure.
- We are slowly making our preparation for our son’s birthday, we will be going to the cake supplier this week.
- Planning Summer vacations with his family and mine, it will need a lot of money so we are just planning simply and hopefully we’ll get promos online. Good luck to us.
So far everything is doing great, I will keep on praying. We still have a long way.

Skin Update
I’ve been consistent on taking care of my skin lately. I was concerned of how it was acting these past few months that I was determined to seek some help for some effective acne cure and I am thankful that I found one from the old reliable center where I got professional help for my acne before my wedding. Now I only have the dilemma in finding an acne scar removal because I heard from the dermatologist that it will be a lot of work and money to remove my acne scars so I am relying on meds online to do so. Per session in that Medical Center will be like 15K-20K Pesos and I cannot afford that plus the procedure is a bit scary so topical is just good for me. So far with all the meds I’m applying, even the scars are getting shallower and lighter which I think is a good thing, I will just have to continue it and visit the clinic regularly.

Hello Summer

This photo was taken at 9 AM, the sun is high already and yes, Summer is here. My friends talk about their planned vacations and some are already packing their stuff because when March starts they will be going to beaches, how I wish we have that planned vacation too but we prioritized the party will be giving for my son and so we have to hold that thought of joining the Bora trip my friends will be having this March 7 but that didn’t stop me from looking at some possible trips we can have this Summer. My husband has been asking me to help him find the best creatine supplements because he is planing to go back to the gym but I came about and read about trips to Subic. My brother in law from Georgia is coming home this end of February and he is asking us to plan an overnight trip to Subic and we are excited to go. This will be my first time to go on a vacation with my husband’s family and I’m sure we’ll have a blast.
