I’ve been out of the loop for quite some time. My sister came home from Canada and our Holidays even became more special with her around. If I will be blogging what I missed to post here, it will take so much posts and I will be blogging little by little because I am sick right now, caught the bug that made my son stay in the hospital for quite some time. That will be in another post. Anyway, I am waving hi and welcoming the year 2012 here! Happy New Year!!!

… until Christmas and you can feel the Holiday cheers in the air already. I’ve been organizing parties too, not to mention planning because my sister from Canada will be having her vacation here. I am also listing more names for our gift giving and listing so many gifts to give. Right now, I am just having a hard time thinking of gifts for the boys. My dad wants a gps and I was thinking, maybe a truck gps tracking would be a funny thing to give but then again, I will have to think about it then I am having trouble what to wrap for the husband since I gave him my Christmas gift in advance, I still want him to open something on the night of Christmas. I have no problems for the girls, I am almost done shopping for them.

  • In The United States

My brother and my sister in law together with my nephew are now in vacation in the United States, they will be there until October and they are telling us how cold it is now and that they accompanied my aunt in look for an infrared heater that I have no clue, what it is, but I guess it has to do something about the weather since Fall is starting early and I heard that it is pretty colder now that last year. I sure hope that they are enjoying the cool weather since it is pretty hot here in our country even if it’s been raining pretty often since last week. I heard we have storms coming in and out of the country, I am just glad that they are not typhoons that we should be alarmed of. Anyway, I asked my cousin to do a little kikay shopping for me. I asked her to buy me a couple of MAC lipsticks and just yesterday, I received an email from her that she already bought two of the lippies. The other two, she is having a hard time because the lady from MAC was uncertain that what I gave are lipsticks shades, she never heard of the shades, she thinks that it could be lip glosses. My cousin will be asking other MAC stores for me, I am lucky. Thanks cuz.

  • Busy Week Ahead

    I am claiming it.

Just today, I got a few tasks and I am thankful for another blessing. My sideline job is helping us so much, with other extra expenses, we can still relax and go to the mall once in a while to take our son, thank you Lord for that. Simple pleasures but yet very essential. Then I got a prospect client who might ask for my services. Wow! Aside from that I have a job, a very lax one that I can still be a mom to my son, he will be having his first assessment in school tomorrow by the way, so I will be there to see his progress. Anyway, my dad also resigned from his job and was asking me to buy cigars for the bosses of the company that he worked with for the past 2 years.I might squeeze in that task this Friday, since my son’s school will only be until Thursday.

    What else?

July, per se is just busy. I have the whole month calendar planned already. I am just thankful. :D

  • Long Weekend

Date: 2011.06.21 | Category: Keeping Up to Speed, Weekend Recap | Response: 0

We had a very long weekend and we celebrated Father’s Day in advance. I am not quite sure if my husband got the idea that I treated our Saturday pasyal because it was his day the next day but he thanked me for treating them to go see a movie. Anyway, we watched this…

    Mr Popper's Penguins Film

It is a feel good movie for the whole family. Aside from the popcorn that my son ate, he actually ate 2 tumblers by the way, he sat on my lap in the middle of the movie and asked me so much stuff, looks like he wanted me to explain bits and pieces of the story and it turned out to be a nice movie for him because he clapped his hands in the end.

Then we stayed at home on Sunday, just relaxing the whole day, enjoying the bed weather. We only went out to hear mass and my son and I slept for long hours after our lunch. It was more or less 3 hours sleep and I felt really well rested. But came Monday, we had to leave home in the afternoon to run some errands and buy something important that we will use at work. How was your weekend? I hope you had a nice one too! :)

  • Thinking of a Business

Date: 2011.05.24 | Category: Keeping Up to Speed, Musings of a Woman, Subtle Screamer | Response: 0

I’ve been married for 5 years now, turning 6 by the end of this year. My husband and I thought of opening a business since our son came. Business Loans are what’s on our mind in order to pursue this dream. Having a family of your own makes you aim for the stars. I have my dreams for my son and I know with our government salaries, we will not be able to give him everything. We might give him the things he needs, but we want to give him the best of everything. Anyway, we had dreams of opening a restaurant, I love to cook but I have a 8-5 job so a restaurant might need most of time so I scratched that from the list, then there is the laundry shop that we were supposed to team up with my brother and my sister in law but our savings are not enough to join them, they started the business on their own and I am glad everything looks promising. Anyway, so we are just thinking of small business like maybe a car wash shop or a small photography business, whatever is cheaper. I had friends who started a small business, who did not ave enough start up cash to do so and made use of a business loan, 3 of them tried doing businesses and 2 are now successful. The success rate is very encouraging. Those 2 friends still have their regular jobs aside from their business. I myself, don’t have plans to quit my job unless I really have to like if my son’s nanny leaves us but I hope I won’t be needing to unless the business really grows really BIG but I certainly don’t see ourselves in a big business soon but I am hoping we can have one in the future, in His time.

  • Crazy Start of the Year

Date: 2011.05.24 | Category: Keeping Up to Speed, Musings of a Woman, Subtle Screamer | Response: 0

Crazy start of the year. Most are “non-bloggable” (if there is such a word) and can only be shared privately. I will not bother to enumerate everything but my family went through some tough times the 4th month of the year and we are still in the process of this challenge and I am just grateful that God is giving us the strength we need to face this through. It actually entitles to more spending and the husband and I are working our butts to get by, we sometimes seriously consider applying for Cash Advances but that will be our last resort. We know that applying for that will be very quick and easy and the dread of too much paper work won’t be there, we will have that as our plan C, maybe even plan D. So far, our earnings get by and from my recent calculations we will still get by even if our son will be starting school this June. We enrolled him early this month so we won’t have to think of his tuition fee for June. We got the monthly basis for him because we can’t afford the quarterly much more the cash basis. The school supplies required by his school is almost done, I just need to get just a few more stuff and he is all set. June is actually filled with schedules of meetings and conferences about something really important.

If there is such a person who fears the future, that would be me! I never saw these things happening and yet, God has a plan of letting us know that He is more powerful than your plans. I only pray that we get the best of health every single day to get by, health is wealth and we can never get through all these challenges if one of us is not healthy. God bless our family. I pray this will all my might.

Howdy!
