Our Tree is Up
I went home with the lights on and my son welcoming me and his daddy home. His nanny told me that they set up the tree. They were decorating it from 3pm to 5pm. Of course my son got a lot of things messy but he loves helping out so his nanny just let him be. I was so proud and happy when he got my hand and showed me, saying… “Mommy yook, very nice Christmas tree.” Indeed! This signals that the yuletide season is really here. The season of giving and thanksgiving plus not to mention of course the festivities which includes food, that reminds me to look for the best and safe diet pills around because I might not be able to contain myself from all the food and desserts. I just love the Yuletide Season!

Christmas Shopping
Have you done your Christmas shopping or I mean have you started it? I have and I only have a few items needed on my list. I allotted a budget for my Christmas shopping so I won’t do over spending. I saw this acne body lotion that I really want to try but I am thinking of saving so I might try the tea tree scrub first that a friend recommended me. With my beauty loots I’m asking a friend to buy me in the US, I already avoided buying beauty stuff here to save. The ones I am using are just stuff given to me like those imported lotions my aunt gave me from the US. I am choosing my priorities of what to buy since Christmas is coming and for sure spending will be very often.

Making a List and Checkin’ it Twice
I organized my Christmas list today and I got a few things covered. I still have a long way to go but I noticed there are so much women’s apparel bought this time. Yes, I am giving more gifts to my girls. Meaning women in the family and my girl friends. I enjoyed shopping for them of course! The problem now are the kids because honestly, I have no idea what to give them, whether I’d be buying stuff online or just shop here. I guess, I will try shopping here for a change and maybe I can see good stuff in SM or some Tiangges nearby. I need to learn how to spend wisely which is why I shopped some stuff online with a friend who is willing to shop for me and the payment will be installment which is very light in my pocket. Thanks for generous friends, right? I feel Christmas already and I even got myself an early gift this year. Yey!

Lenten and Easter Season
Black Friday in the States meant a different thing, my relatives get excited over there about it, on the other hand, here it’s a different thing. Catholics celebrate the Lenten Season and we also have the same Friday only, it’s about mourning because it’s the day that Christ died on the cross. People practice all kinds of stuff and as for me, what I did was just eat oatmeal the whole day. I ate a bowl 3 times, 1 bowl each meal and just ate a banana every time I felt hungry. I love food and what I did was sacrifice it and gave it up even for just a day. It felt really good especially if I didn’t get the urge to be tempted even if I ate with my family who had rice and viands for that day. Anyway, the long holiday because of lent was spent at home with just taking care of the kids, mainly entertaining them with movies and books. Then by Easter we celebrated by setting up a pool in the garden and had barbecue for lunch… Here are the pictures…

Then we rested after lunch and attended mass before heading to the mall for some quiet time with my boys…

Taken before mass.

Ready to Introduce Santa?

I grew up from a home that believes in Santa Claus. I love Santa and my son knows him but as of today, he is not aware that Santa can bring him a gift that he really wants if he’s been good the whole year. We just never introduced that to him yet, I might be thinking less of my son but I don’t think he will understand that yet. When he sees that big stout man with red clothes and very bushy beard, he will shout Santa Claus and that’s it. HIHI.
What I want him to believe about Santa when he is ready? That Santa is an angel of God. He is tasked to give gifts to nice kids like him by Jesus. That Jesus should be pleased too before he receives something from Santa. I want him to believe that Jesus loves little children like him, that He will be very happy if he will be a nice boy all throught out the year and that the gift every Christmas is just a bonus.

I want him to remember that this season and for everyday, it is Jesus that he should please. Not me or his Dad or even Santa but Jesus because I know if he will think that way, he will never go wrong!
Let’s not forget Jesus, it’s His birthday. Let’s not X Christ in Christmas. How about you? Care to share with me the stories of how you introduced Santa to your kid?

On The Rounds for the Holidays
I’ve been going around the web to search for some great ideas to cook this Noche Buena. My husband is asking me to go Indian this year. I might cook Chicken Tikka Masala for him and since I love Indian too, I bet will never resist the craving. With all the parties as well, I bet there will be tons of food to eat before, during and after the Holidays. I might need some fast weight loss regimen if I want to fit into the clothes I bought for our trip in Hong Kong this January. For now we have maybe 3 parties to attend to. We are not so sociable people, some people are already booked but us on the other have might host a few parties and attend a few as well. For now, we are just busy going around and just enjoying the Christmas rush!

Christmas is in the Air
Can you feel it? It’s getting colder every morning. Night is longer and Christmas carols are played everywhere. I love it! And what is it about Christmas that I can do even without giving a great excuse? Shopping! I did some at a bazaar near our place buying stuff for our families so I can start my Christmas wrapping this week. I also did some online shopping, that needs shipping boxes since my sister in law is coming to the United States and everything will travel with her when she comes back. I’m excited to see the Disney Store loots I got for my son. I hope everything looks nice in person, you know pictures on websites ca be deceiving but this is Disney we’re talking about. I need to do some mental note in taking pictures of our house too. Christmas decors are up and everything looks festive. I hope I can do some snapping this weekend. A few more days to go til we hear the sleigh bells again!
