Dustin has two meanings of his word, “mumu”.

First meaning:

Dustin: Mom, “nane” (plane). While pointing outside the window.

Mommy: There’s no airplane, Mommy will carry you to look outside if there’s a plane, okay?

Dustin nods and waits for the sound of a plane coming. When he heard the sound, he signals me to carry him, raising both his arms.

Mommy: Okay Mommy will carry you.

Dustin: (pointing at the plane) There! There! Nane! (shouting and very excited to see the plane)

As the plane slowly disappears in the sky…

Dustin: Mom, mumu! -translation? no more (with both palms under his chin)

Second meaning:

Every night we watch his favorite movie… I was sick last week and peeked through the room to check on him and his Dad. Dustin was so into the movie, not looking at me when I got in the room.

Mommy: What are you watching Stinny?

Dustin didn’t answer and I noticed he was a bit teary eyed already…

Daddy: We are watching, Finding…

Dustin: Mumu. -translation? Nemo. (with matching pouty lips while saying the word and with tears)

Ahhh… my boy is really growing up and he can already understand and appreciate Finding Mumu. LOL.
