SAHM and More

Did I mention that I’ve been a SAHM since Tuesday? The nanny left last Tuesday for an almost a week vacation, she’ll be back by Sunday evening. Hats off to all SAHMs out there. It’s the most challenging, tiring but fulfilling job in the world and if you will ask me if I will trade my current job at the hospital for this? You bet I would! Nothing beats a day with your son. So our daily routine since the first Nannyless day?
Morning:
- Would take a shower then bring the used feeding bottles downstairs and put water (these will be washed in the evening with the other used bottles for the day).
- Then prepare the things we need for the day like putting distilled water in the feeding bottles. Check if the shirts and lampin are enough to last the day.
- Check email. A bit of surfing and twittering.
- Prepare my son for the day. Bathe him. Fix the bed while the Husband prepares for work.
- Breakfast with the family.
- Say bye to the husband before leaving for work.
- Playtime.
- Nap time. Usually Dustin sleeps around 9.30 to 11.00
- A little playtime before lunch.
- Lunch with my nephew and SIL. Yes, she is also Nannyless like me. Kudos to her. She multi tasks pretty well, I am amazed. I could never do so much in just a few minutes. I admire her for that. She is a BIG help to me I may add. She cooks our lunch in the morning so we just put everything in the microwave before lunch. Leave the dishes then watch tv and play with the tots before they take a nap in the afternoon.
Afternoon:
- Dustin usually sleeps around 3 pm so he wakes up just in time for us to watch Coffee Prince. Got to have a dose of Gong Yoo everyday.
- Playtime again.
- 6 pm we pray the Angelus with my brother’s family.
- The Daddies watch over the tots while my SIL and I cook dinner, wash the used bottles and basically do the things we need to do for the family.
- Dinner and bonding time with the family.
- Dustin usually sleeps around 9 pm.
- ME time. Scrapping, surfing and blogging take place. The time I need coffee to keep me awake, but usually coffee is not needed since during Dustin’s nap times, I take a nap too so that I will have the energy to do the things for myself at night.
- 1 am? Laptop shutdown.
I can get use to this if only the husband wins the lottery
, then I can quit my job, manage a business where I can be with my son and take care of my family 24/7. But then again, I can’t. I need my job for now and even if I so love to quit, I have no guts to. So yes, kudos to the Super SAHMs!!!
On my new CT
One word – OVERWHELMING. I have to say thanks to my online friends who left me messages in my previous post.
to you ladies, you know who you are and special mention to Aggie who even YMed me just to tell me I deserve the slot and said nice and encouraging words the morning she learned my BIG toot! Now I know what it is like to be in a store CT and boy, it is not easy especially now that I only have scrapping and surfing time at night. Still thankful of the blessing though and I love the warm welcome the {WST} people gave the new team members. I had a blast hanging around our private forum. Journaling is much encouraged among our team. They want to see our stories behind the photos. That’s why the store is called We are Storytellers because of that and since writing is one of my passion, I have the biggest smile on my face when Deanne, the store owner told us that. This is the first reason why I was drawn to digital scrapbooking in the first place, I saw and adored Aggie’s journals with her LOs (Yes, I consider her my Digi Scrapping Mentor) and I saw so many possibilities in my future layouts. The first thing they asked us to do if make a Library Card LO using their template and put journaling there why we consider ourselves as storytellers. I had fun doing mine…

And awed my co-Storytellers Library Cards as well and how amazing it is to discover different reasons why we got into digital scrapbooking and yet we are pulled in the same direction and discover new friends all over the world!
Amazing isn’t it? Okay now, I am being sentimental. Enough of this, I have yet to find one comfy bed from the tons of pretty and comfy pet beds online for our pet sharpei, Pacey. Good night!

Super busy day yan Litz! I agree, if I were a mom I wouldn’t trade taking care of my kid talaga. I experienced taking care of my niece and nephew when they were babies pa and iba talaga pag hands on ka. (parang ako yung nanay eh no?)
Congrats again on your WST gig! Love your AAM page!
